it's physically difficult for cats to drink

it's physically difficult for cats to drink

cats are desert animals with a naturally low thirst drive.

cats are designed to eat their moisture, not drink it. they can only lap small amounts at a time.

cats need about 7 minutes of nonstop drinking to hit their daily recommendation.

most cats only drink half the daily-recommended amount of water

most cats only drink half the daily-recommended amount of water

we partnered with a leading University’s Department of Animal Biosciences to see how much cats are drinking across diets (wet, dry, and a wet/dry mix).

in our clinical study, cats consumed 3oz of moisture when fed a dry diet, and 5oz when fed a wet diet.

this means that even on a wet diet, cats are consuming less water than the 8oz recommendation.

cats consumed more water.

cats had more dilute urine.
